By HIS grace

When talking with new people about our adoption they often stare at us in amazement and say, "Wow, that's amazing. I just couldn't do what yall are doing. Yall are truly amazing people."...

While I, of course, appreciate the sentiment...but I assure you; we are NOT these great rescuers that are fully equipped to adopt a child like Aiden. We are ( in EVERY sense) normal people. We make mistakes, we fall short of the glory of God, and we are constantly trying to better ourselves. I found a quote this week that really spoke to me, "God does not call the equipped, he equips the called"...

It is completely true.

We always pictured ourselves adopting a newborn from right here in the U.S....we never considered an older child; let alone an older child from across the world with special needs.

Oh how God can change the heart. With God; ALL things are possible. So in reality we don't deserve (nor want) any credit.

God placed Aiden on this earth for a purpose...

God molded our hearts and led us to him...

God kept him safe until the time was right...

God created him in HIS image...

God has broken our hearts for what breaks his...

GOD has saved this sweet boy...

We are just the ones that get the privilege to call him our earthly son; but it is by the grace of God that it is all possible.

God Bless you all,

The Killens
